Beautifully Handcrafted by deep carving names, addresses, dates, artwork, whatever you might imagine into a live edge eastern red cedar slab. This cedar, sometimes called juniper, is cut and processed here in Texas and is truly unique and loaded with character. These rich, red heart wood and white sap wood slabs have knots, natural cracks and checks which add character. We fill cracks and checks with a special sealer. The cedar bark, like most bark, is not permanent, but our process leaves the bark effect after we remove the bark. The carved areas are painted black. The rustic edges are lightly burned with a torch for a beautiful effect. The surface is sanded smooth and three coats of exterior urethane, like the boat builders use. is applied. The cedar is GREAT for outdoors or indoors.
The cedar slabs are all unique and vary in width and shape. The slabs are 1" to 1 1/4" thick and range from 6" to 20 " high. Our STANDARD slabs are 6" to 12" high and our OVERSIZE slabs are 13" to 20" high. We sell in 1 foot increments up to 6 feet in length. The shorter signs are not as tall. Every sign board is different and some have more character such as knots, cracks, check marks or wild twist and turns. There is no charge per letter or word and you can put one or more lines of copy on the sign. Generally speaking, less words mean larger words. We will email you a mockup proof ASAP (usually same day). We will make your sign after you approve a proof.
There is a fee for artwork if you want it. We are showing you some examples or you can request something else. We have 1,000's of images to choose from. Let us know what you want on the sign. Let us design a SPECIAL sign for you. COLORS.. Yes, we can use colors of the rainbow on artwork and text. Prices start at $25 and UP. Ask about it after we have the proof done and we can issue another invoice for colors.
Order the size sign you want and the artwork if you want it. As you are checking out, you can tell us what you want the sign to say and the artwork, if any, by listing it in the PERSONALIZATION section. You can choose the font you like for each line. We will make you a proof for your sign. We can make changes to the proof until satisfactory or we can refund your money. Once the proof is approved, we will usually make the sign within two weeks. SHIPPING IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE YOU PAY.
We put a rope at the top of the sign for hanging your sign or you can ask for the saw tooth hangers on the back of the sign. If you want no rope or hanger, let us know.

Custom and personalized orders
We accept custom order requests. Please contact our shop if you don't see a design you are looking for in our listings. We have access to a variety of art work that we can substitute. Please visit www.vectorart.com to view artwork choices. Type keyword in the search bar and when you have found the art you are interested in, we need the 5 digit numbers from your choices. We ask that you give us at least 2 choices in case one is not compatible with your sign. Your info you give us will be exactly as you type it out to us, so you must make sure the spelling and punctuation are correct. If you are making a last name plural on a sign, please do not add an 's unless you are making it possessive. The Young's Campsite vs The Youngs.
Sizing details
We offer a variety of sizes ranging from 3 1/2"x12" to 11"x24". We can not carve any smaller than that but we can carve up to 8' wide by 11" high and 2' wide by 4' high. See those listings for custom prices. If you do not see a size listed then we can not carve it. We have our boards cut specifically to meet our sizing needs and if we cut a board down more then we lose wood.
Care instructions
If you purchase a deep carved sign on Western Red Cedar, we triple coat it with polyurethane spray to help protect it from the elements. It is safe to use outside. We do recommend that customers re-treat their sign as needed with a light coat of polyurethane spray to help make the sign last for years to come.
If purchasing a white pine stained sign, these are to be used indoors only. Pine is not weather resistant and will warp if left out in the weather.
Gift wrapping and packaging
We do not offer gift wrapping or special packaging and are not able to send a note with your sign if sending as a gift.
IMPORTANT!! Proof Approval
After placing your order, we will send you a proof that same day, which you must approve. Please be diligent about replying to us in a timely manner, as we get lots of requests and orders daily. Our communication emails may go to your junk email so PLEASE check there if you are not seeing a reply from us. Or better yet, turn on notifications from Etsy in the Etsy app and you will get a notification from us right away. If we do not receive approval from you we will ship out your sign by the ship date exactly as you ordered it, whether the spelling and punctuation are correct or not. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed on our signs due to spelling or punctuation errors.
IMPORTANT!!! Camper Selection (or other art selection) for your sign
We offer 26 different camper styles to choose from on our camping signs. There's a picture of choices on each of our listings for a camper sign. Please choose the correct camper before placing your order. We make the proof with the choice you give us & if you do not approve it by the ship date that is the camper that will be on your sign. So if you choose 01 Camper, (which is a truck w/ a camper bed on the back) & you meant to choose a fifth wheel, you will get the truck & camper bed, if we do not hear back from you. Of course, if you accidentally choose the wrong camper style simply send us a message & we will make the change for you. We want you to be happy w/ your sign for years to come so communication is important with our shop!
Shipping Details
Please, please, please confirm the address you are shipping to before submitting your order. Check your default address so you make sure you receive your sign and it doesn't go to an old or invalid address. We will ship to the address you give us. If your order goes to a wrong address and gets returned to us, we will send you an invoice for additional shipping and then ship it out to the correct address you provide for us.
